Hanko – the city in the heart of the Baltic Sea

The most southern municipality of Finland, Hanko, is a real summer city. No matter if you like sunbathing, good food or cultural activities Hanko has something to offer everybody.

The history of Hanko has its’ roots in the Viking Age. The city has played a major role during the wars in Finland. You can still find some traces back from the wars, dugouts and trenches for example. Hanko is even famous for its villas next to the beach.

If you like sunbathing, Hanko is the perfect place, offering over 30 km of beaches. If you get hungry during the day you’ll find many restaurants next to the beach with various dishes. During summer many boat events and concerts are organized here. You can choose between many accommodations during your stay in Hanko.
